Important Information concerning becoming a Licensed Unity Teacher

There at two sections to Spiritual Education and Enrichment courses (250 credits) - Part A and part B. When a student completes these courses s/he is eligible to "apply" to the Unity Licensed Teacher program.

To apply, one would be wise to down load the LUT Handbook found on the Unity International website by clicking the Education Link. Complete, step by step information can be found in the LUT Handbook.

It is imperative that you "apply" by writing a "letter of intent" have it signed by your minister or if you are in the filed without a minister find a Unity Leader qualified to support you on your journey. Submit your letter of intent to Shirley Kennedy at LTC@unity.org.

Your next step, after you have been invited into the program is to take the Psychological Exam. Once you have been accepted and passed the Psychological Exam you are on your way to becoming a Licensed Unity Teacher. You will be invited back to Unity Village to take the Leadership Courses. You will also be supported on your journey by the staff of SEE and many students traveling the same path as you.

SENIOR MINISTER – REV. SANDRA COUSENS KALE

Ordained in Unity 1973, Senior Minister of Inspirational UNITY an Alternative ministry in Scottsdale, AZ. She currently serves on the the Credentialing Administration Task Team, The Field Licensing Team and is adjunct faculty for on line courses presented by "S.E.E." - Unity Village. MO.

She is an International Artist—sculpture (Lost Wax and Stone) with collectors around the world. She also paints with oils and watercolor. She holds an Arizona Teaching degree K - 8 with an Art Endorsement K-12. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and a Master of Arts Degree in Cognitive Psychology—Counseling from the University of Washington. She is married and has one daughter.

ASSOCIATE MINISTER REV. KIM O’CONNOR

Graduated and ordained from the Ministerial Education Program at Unity Institute in June 2005. Rev. Kim teaches classes at Inspirational Unity as well as Unity of Phoenix. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration. Rev. O’Connor’s passion is prayer and the positive effects it can have on your life. She is married and has two daughters.
